Wren's Chapel

Wren’s Chapel is the epitome of the traditional Country Chapel, but with its grade I listing and approaching a millennium of heritage, it is a rare classic. It has a wonderful ambiance, excellent acoustics and numerous unique features, including some of the oldest stained glass in the country, the figurine of Prioress Isabella Shakespeare, Williams Aunt, and the tomb of Sir Christopher Wren’s wife, with commemorative plaques for five generations of Christopher Wrens, plus intricate stonework and statues. Bounded by yew hedge and entered via the covered lych gate, it enjoys an intimate setting. The seating configuration and carved rood screen make it ideal for up to 50, 100 or 200 attendees

Home for regular bi-weekly services through Christian Renewal, it is a free Christian place of worship, welcoming all visitors.

Consequently Wren’s Chapel is a most desirable and unique choice for:

  • Weddings
  • Re-dedications
  • Blessings
  • Christenings
  • Memorial Services
  • Choral and Musical Celebrations
