Recently got engaged and looking for inspiration to organise your 2018 wedding? Our Wedding Coordinators have put together a list of big wedding trends for this New Year. Contact us now for more information on our wedding packages and to see how we can work together to make your day one you will cherish forever.
Range of Colours
Darker colours have taken over weddings for 2018 and they include shades and accents like dark blue, violet and black; this could be inspired by the fact that Pantone decided on Ultra Violet as the winner of their colour of the year 2018. Somehow more dramatic, the darker colours are proving to replace the ever-popular paler colours for this upcoming year at least. It will be all in the detail like a black lace section on the wedding dress or a beautiful purple flower arrangement on the bridal table. Still unsure of what colour scheme to pick for your big day at Wroxall Abbey? Contact our wedding coordinators now for inspiration and advice.
Alternative Décor Ideas
When it comes to décor, 2018 trends will include transparent elements, geometric shapes and metallic pieces. Transparency gives an impression of modernity and minimalism whilst geometric shapes bring a more industrial atmosphere to your wedding. Some will also plan the presence of copper in their wedding setting, which adds to the industrial vibe. Whether it’s on the guests’ tables, on the wedding cake or even as accents in the room, this touch will create a modern yet very trendy ambiance.
Accentuated Flowers Arrangements
Flowers always play a big part in a wedding and 2017 saw a strong focus directed at greenery and hanging flowers. This trend will be accentuated in 2018 as we will see an emphasis on this type of floral decoration. By choosing to add hanging flowers above your guests’ tables, you are creating a wider space for potential centrepieces or additional decorations. Wedding wreaths are also standing out as a trend this year and can either serve as table ornaments or as a backdrop for your wedding pictures.
When looking for a wedding venue, the Midlands’ definitely have own Wroxall Abbey is an unmissable venue. We hope to have inspired you with these wedding trends and look forward to celebrating your big day with you this year.
